It’s totally okay, and actually pretty common. We’ll do a title search to check for any unpaid property taxes or liens. If there’s anything owed, we’ll go over the details with you. In most cases, we can still move forward with the purchase.
The amount owed will simply be deducted from your payout at closing, so you won’t need to come out of pocket. We’ll always get your consent before anything is finalized.

Once we close (typically through a title company), funds are either wired to your bank or sent via check—usually the same day or within 1 business day after signing.
